I begin every relationship by understanding those things in life that are most important to you–the things that not having to worry about your retirement income will allow you to focus on. As your Private Portfolio Manager I will take the time to learn about your investment history and how past market events have affected you because that will help me to get a better feel for your “comfort zone” when it comes to risk.

Hi Rick, thanks for the comments and I’m glad you were able to more fully understand how annuities function so you can make an informed decision! Talk to you soon!

I need to have someone review an annuity I have with Jackson Life. I have had it since 2010 and it has done everything they promised. I need someone to review my policy and i also am looking for someone to analyze a policy that is administered by Lincoln financial as I think they are not administering the premiums correctly. Do you provide this service? What would the fee be?
if you do not do this could you provide me with the name of someone who does.

      Thanks.

I am searching for an investment adviser to help me craft a plan for my impending retirement. I have talked to the usual cast of suspects and have been appalled by what they are offering. My most recent meeting was with Accelerated Wealth (ha who’s wealth is being accelerated) where he tried to convince me to by the Alianz 222 product with 80 % of my entire life’s savings….I have been with Fidelity Investments for ever and feel that they are just the other side of the cow pattie….We enough about me, I am looking for an adviser that has my best interest in mind. Every financial firm /adviser has to claim that they do, as you do, but I have not found anyone who even comes close to representing my best interests. So what makes you different? What tests can I apply to prove the difference. I have some ideas.
    Thanks
    Lowell

Lowell, I love it when I come across people that ‘Get It’! Too many people just blindly accept what a salesperson says and have the mistaken impression that the salesperson is doing what is in the potential client’s best interest. In fact, I just put the finishing touches on a brand new video series that addresses the 4 Key Issues that must be solved for those that want to survive the next major market correction or crash. I’ll try to get the link to it posted here. And feel free to send an email at jeff@commonsenseadviors.com and we can set a time to talk privately.

I have invested 90,000 in a “fixed index flexible premium deferred annuity contract” with Security Benefit, with a gmir @ 1% and a guaranteed stacking roll-up factor @ 4%. Can you help me understand, and is this wise. I am in the free look phase untill 9-14-14. Please advise as soon as possible

Greetings – I am interested in hearing more about the service(s) you offer. Currently I have approximately $500, 000 to invest. The funds are currently in variable annuities (3 contracts). I definitely plan to find another place for the money. I am 67 years of age and have been drawing money from the annuities for less than six months. My actual contract values are currently at about the same values as when I started the withdrawals. I am persuaded that I still have time to act before my values are significantly impacted by my monthly draw-downs. I’m also persuaded that I need to act soon. My phone number is XXXXXXXX and my email address is _. I would enjoy hearing from you. Regards.

    A few questions:
    1. Can I move my 401K money into an IRA account with your firm?
    2. What is the minimum amount to start and account?
    3. What is your fee schedule?
    4. What has your long and short term gains history been?
The video presentation was very informative and interesting. Very good information and thought provoking.

    Thank You.

    Hello Jeff,

Thanks so much for spending time with me this afternoon. I really appreciated it! I was wondering if it were possible for you to e-mail me any information regarding rates of return such as the chart of the S &P 500 tracking one of the investment models you’ve used. I did not know if you had calculated something similar for the 3 basic levels of risk expossure we talked about. Any information would be greatly appreciated! THANKS AGAIN

    MARK PIPPENS

P.S. I showed my mom the picture of your family and she was so blessed! If a family could be assessed a dollar or assset value Bill Gates and Warren Buffett would have a direct line to your office. The wealth you have created is eternal, the best kind!!

Jeff… can you email me your personal email address?

  • Cheryl March 8, 2015 at 10:44 pm

My current 403B has to be moved at the end of this month. An annunity was recommended but now I see the disadvantages much more clearly. Do you manage these?
What are your fees for management?
    Thanks,
    Cheryl

    Jeff,

I am searching for an advisor/planner for myself. I am 62 with a 401K and interviewing candidates for a sound plan for my situation and hoping to find a reasonable outlook for income in retirement.

I saw your you tube post for annuities which I was looking into. Something didn’t feel right and your video really brought it home for me.

    Thank You,

    Randy

    Jeff and team:

Watched your video on the 7% increase annuity. Hit home for me because I purchased the same product last year. I would like some advice on what to do with this product. Also, I am looking at giving up my full time job next year and am interested in information on your groups services for possible future asset placement. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Be Well,
    Ron Torrey.

Jeff, I have been an IMO specializing in fixed annuities for 19 years. I have a great deal of pride in fixed annuities and what we do with them. An agent of mine sent me a link to your video. THANK YOU! I appreciate you taking the time and effort to produce such a detailed video. I have seen these riders presented as walk away guarantees for many years, well before they even came to the FIA products. Comparing them to true MYGA’s in the 2.00% -3.00% range, even the most conservative retirees are getting hooked. I have been in the sales presentations and I can understand, sounds really great, not knowing what we know. I feel the education on these riders should be made into a public service announcement or something. I am afraid the riders are going to give the industry another bad news day. Thanks again for bringing attention to how these “guarantees” really work and what they may really be worth. I will be sharing with others!

    Mr. Voudrie,

Hello, my name is XXXXXX and am living in Southeastern Wisconsin. My wonderful wife of fifty years and I entered the workforce in the late1950’s and retied in 20006 with almost 100 combined years in industry with what we thought a nice nest-egg. But, to say we have have a very rough time of it would be to understate it. We are now losing hope of ever reaching our goals and know we must take action now. I do have an asset portfolio that readily meets your guidelines. We would would like to meet and talk to you or one of your associates concerning a plan for our future. I became aware of your services thru your online videos. I have seen most of them posted on-line to date.

I and my wife have cash and a house to sell which we hope will be our retirement fund. I’ve read some of Dent’s stuff but inexperience in this stuff doesn’t know quite what to believe. I and my wife, if possible, would like to perhaps have a conference call with you discuss prudent possibilities for preserving and prospering get with the wealth we have. Thanks.

    Hello Jeff,
Harry Dent has been sending me all this “pie in the sky stuff” and he picked up the wrong guy. I spent 21 years @ 9000+ hrs to design, engineer & finish the geometric percent fractals.
I have been beating him over the head with facts and he just continues to send more junk?
Just wanted to tell you thanks for your time and dedication to tell unsuspecting public about Harry…. Really sad when folks use fear to sell their useless stuff…
    1. SPX 2nd up target bottom 2418.63 and recent high 2400.98,,, close.
    2. NDX 2nd up target bottom 5549.98 and recent high 5479.86,,, only 11% away.
    3. INDU is just under 20,858.83 (represents the .382/.618 Fib. #s depending if going up or down) and only about 1/3 way up to next (2nd) target bottom. (22,369.58)
    4. COMPQ is just above 1st up target top at 5824.00 and stuck in sideways motion.
    5. NYA is struggling heavily with bottom of 1st up target at 11,468.00 and is having trouble just to stay inside target without falling below.
    6. RUT is also having big problems/issues with bottom of 1st 2009 up target at 1362.00 and these (2) groups RUT & NYA appear to have bigger issues with something as they lag so far behind in regard to targets.
SPX, NDX, INDU & COMPQ are scattered out a little, but all above 2009 primary up target.
NYA & RUT are attempting to travel up thru their respective targets, but can’t seem to remain inside target area as their weakness is really telling,,, as target bottom reveal these 2 index’s problems…
    Best regard,
    David
